Writing - Plastic waste

As you put your rubbish in the rubbish bin it doesn't always end up at the dump. There is an 80 percent chance that your rubbish is either in the ocean, killing the sea animals or polluting our environment. Scientist believe that by 2050 there will be more plastic than fish in the sea.

I want you, yes you to be a litter free person. How? You may ask, well there are many different ways to be a litter free person. One of them is to only eat nude foods such as salads, fruits etc. Nude foods are those that have no plastic wrapping.

I strongly feel that we should use lunch boxes.Using containers makes you more organized and easy to use.You can use containers for salad, noodles, rice and other lunch foods. So you don't need to use food with wrappers. In addition, another way you can make your school litter free is to have separate bins in which rubbish goes in. For example putting image on the rubbish bins, so that even the little kids can be litter free and it will also help them along the way, so they know where the put there rubbish.

Furthermore, I vehemently believe that we should use worm farms. Worms farms make good soil, its good for food scraps and plants.Using compost bins is good for helping worm farms. The worm eat the food scraps and process it, later it becomes soil. When the worms eat the food, they provide nutrients to the soil.

Lastly, if you be a litter free person it will make a difference on the environment. Spread the news, and become a litter free person. If you become a litter free person, we can live in a safe and healthy environment.

Model T Car

For reading, we are reading a book about hybrid cars, fuel powered cars and electric cars.
We had three options. We could either write about the model t car, compare all the types of cars or
make a digital learning object on renewable car and non renewable cars. I picked the Model T Car.

Comparing foods - Occasional & Everyday foods

For health, we are learning about how to compare foods. On Friday March 9th, the senior hub walked to New World to write down Occasional & Everyday foods. We had to compare foods. We looked at how much fat, salt, sugar, energy and dietary fibre that was in healthy and Occasional Foods.

Softball tournament experience

It was such a good day. On 1st of March, the Years 7 and 8 girls went out to play at a softball tournament at May Road Memorial Park. The tournament was a girls only tournament. Once we arrived there the grass was long and wet. Already I felt sand flies on my legs and from that moment on I knew it would be a long day. As soon as we started warming up, we were all getting hyped up and ready to play. Our first game we played with Ponsonby intermediate. 4 - 7 to Ponsonby intermediate. Our second game we versused st joseph's which was a draw. After that game we loss against mt roskill intermediate and the scores were 6 - 7. So we won against passadena the score was 10 - 0. At the end of game we all congratulated each other because of the game. For our team Havana and Charlee were the pitchers. I was second base and central zone, so I had to swap with Angel. On first base was Melianna and sometimes Sayonara. That day I was very pleased with everyone’s great attitude and sportsman. At the end of the day we got back in our taxi we started singing to our songs loudly and dancing. That day was really fun and I hope I play more softball in the future.
