Week 1: Activity 3 - Ice, Ice Baby

  1. Hi Karla,

It's Leslie here, reading your blog as a member of the Summer Learning Journey team, from my home in Canada. We're in the middle of winter which might be hard for you to imagine as you enjoy your summer holiday time! Our yard is covered in snow and the temperatures each day are well below 0. It's chilly! But I really enjoy the winter so I don't mind at all. I have a dog named Spirit who takes me out walking several times a day and I think she prefers the winter over the summer too!

You've done an excellent job of listing ways of staying smart online in this activity. Good for you! You're absolutely right about not sharing personal information, about checking with parents before going onto an unknown website, and never ever agreeing to meet someone that you've only met online. Unfortunately there have been some bad experiences for people who haven't made good choices in this regard.

For this activity you were asked to try to put your points inside the footprint. You've put yours alongside. Perhaps you found it too difficult to move the text inside the illustration - I can understand that. You could have go at that another time, perhaps, and see if it will work for you.

Overall though, Karla, this is a well done activity. I'm so glad that you've chosen to participate in the Summer Learning Journey program this summer!!!

    Cheers,

    Leslie
